How To: Organize Your Planner

I could not live without my planner. Of course I use a Lilly planner for school because only the best, for the best. No. But really I love my Lilly planner. I also have a little J. Crew pocket planner I keep in my purse for friends and other non school related stuff. I know everybody just uses their phone calendar or whatever but I've tried and honestly it's more fun to write in different colors and have stickers everywhere and I just love planners.

How I Organize it:
1. A Color for every Class

Having a color for every class keeps me in check when I get home from school and start my homework.

2. Make use of your monthly space

I put all of my tests, projects, important school dates on my month overview because it helps me visualize what I have next week without flipping through my planner

3. Stickers

Make your planner fun to look at, really it works!

4. Make use of sticky notes

I always put things I cannot forget on sticky notes and everytime I open my planner I remember to do that.

5. Separate Planner

(sorry for my nails... opps!)

My Vera pen has been through a lot

If you have a lot of social and school things going on use a separate planner for school and social. I use my mini J. Crew planner for social things!

What to Wear: Finals

End of semester is coming up, well actually it was supposed to be 6 days ago but Minnesota decided to be -40 below and school closed for 4 days in a row!

They always say "Dress well, test well" and I do think thats true but if I'm wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt, sure I may be comfy but I don't feel good in that outfit so here's what I'll be wearing for finals on wednesday!

Deca, We Mean Business

This year my bestie theminnesotamiss.blogspot.com or Haley and I decided to join Deca. It's definitely been a rollercoaster of feelings about this business club. If I could describe my Deca experience in one word it would be, awkward. It was full of awkward encounters with other members and awkward meetings and most of all districts was two full days of awkward. I'm glad I joined though, I learned a lot about... everything really. If you are in Deca, we did an advertising campaign where you write a really long drawn out paper that nobody even reads. We did L.L. Bean because it's the best company out there. We also did a buying and merchandising role play which was 30 minutes of making stuff up and 10 minutes of bullshitting it. Maybe it was just an off year but, theminnesotamiss.blogspot.com and I are officialy done with Deca.

I think the real reason I joined Deca was so I could look cute in business clothes, let's be honest. I don't do dresses and maybe thats because I haven't found the one that fits me but I love the way dress pants look, if they fit right. Mine are from The Loft and my button up is Banana Republic and I don't think I could love this classic piece any more. Black and white is classic, but boring so I switched it up, thanks to theminnesotamiss.blogspot.com I have a lovely grey blazer from Banana Republic. I'm already tallish enough so black flats from target will do. To top it I wore a lovely, and classic monogrammed necklace.

Weekend Wear

Ahh, the weekend is finally here. Whether you're running errands or just shopping with your friends this is a go to outfit. Leggings are always must, everyday of the week and especially on the weekends and Bean Boots are a perfect pair with my Lululemon Wunder Unders. I never seem to leave my house without my J.Crew Field Jacket these days either. Sometimes on the weekend your hair just won't work with you, and I'm in love with my hat from the opening day of one of the Washington State Yacht Clubs I stole from my dad, and this hat covers it up any bad hair days.

Jacket: J.Crew
Shirt: Abercrombie (old)
Leggings: Lululemon
Socks: Juicy Couture (old)
